Since the first day of Ramadan 1435 AH (July 2014) the prayer halls of Masjid At-Taqwa have been full of worshippers during the evening Taraaweeh prayers.
A new Imam, Sheikh Abdul Kareem At-Turki, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has been leading the Taraaweeh congregation and his beautiful recitation has provided the attending worshippers a very special experience.
Sheikh Abdul Kareem is an Alim & Hafidh from Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In previous years he has led large congregations in his Jamiah Masjid in Jeddah. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Islamic Studies & a PhD in translation studies.
In order to facilitate an organised and peaceful gathering with minimal disruption to the community, the Masjid administration has enlisted several community volunteers to steward the evening event. They have assisted with traffic control, parking, crowd flow control and general orderly behaviour.
Masjid At-Taqwa welcomes everyone to experience the uplifting Taraaweeh prayer at Masjid At-Taqwa to worship Allah and to fill the hearts with the beautiful recitation of the Quran.
