Allah (the Most High) is the same lord referred to in the holy scriptures of the Jews and the Christians. The word Allah may be considered the Arabic name for God. The Arabic speaking Jews and Christians also refer to God as Allah.
He Is the One Who has prepared Gardens of eternal bliss (Paradise) for His creation who believe and do good – And He is the One who has prepared the blazing Fires of eternal torment (Hell) for those who deny Him and tread the path of Satan.
Allah (Glory be to He) is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. He is the Master of the Universe and all that is encompassed within it. He is the Lord of all the worlds, that is including the world of Angels and the Jinn. He is the one who has given life to all that exists and He is the one who has pre-ordained all that has come to pass.
“He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
He is Allah , the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise”.
Allah (Exhalted be He) is the one who sent Prophets and Messengers to mankind. It is Allah (the Most Merciful) who revealed the scriptures to His Messengers so that Man may be guided upon a path of true contentment leading to a destination of eternal happiness in Paradise.
The religion of Islam (that is to submit to Allah in His Oneness without partner) was established the day Adam was placed on Earth. However the religion was made complete when Allah (the All Praiseworthy) revealed His final revelation (the Quran) to His final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him) who became the seal of the Prophets.
During the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), The polytheists asked about the lineage of Allah (the Most High). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the following revelation from Allah (the Supreme) in response to this question:
“Say, ‘He is Allah, the One and Only
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute, (Besought of all);
He begets not, nor was He begotten
And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him’ “
Despite the omnipotent supremacy of Allah (the Almighty), He is also the Most Merciful, Oft Forgiving and Most Compassionate to His creation. Allah (Glory be to He) has said:
“O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it”.
Allah (The All Knowing) is All Aware of everything that happens even as something presumably insignificant as the falling of a leaf.
“With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knows but He. He knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).”
Allah (The All Praised) has taught through His completed religion (Islam) that to Believe in Him is to believe in His Oneness and that He is the Lord of all creation in the Heavens and the Earth. To believe in Allah (The Most High) is also to believe in His divine names and attributes without associating any such divine attributes to any of His creation and to recognise that to Allah alone belong the Most beautiful names.
